  1. The reporter recovered from the crappy “Pack Their Derms” joke in the beginning and really engaged me for the video. Unfortunately he finished with the ‘Why can we do that’ cheesey line. Some things are better left unsaid. Way to hit something subtle with a hammer, Steve Hartman!

I really hope your joking and not really that much of a downer. You are, right? That’s it. We’re just missing the sarcasm :)

Take a look America, if out of the millions of dogs and hundreds of thousands of elephants in the world, two can form an anomalous bond within an enclosed wild life park. What’s our excuse for not doing the same thing over and over again a couple hundred million times with boat after boat of unwanted third worlders?

  8. this is real like. i like it. right say ppl if they can do it, what the hell is our problem when it comes to interracial like…
    soo cute this couple :)

  9. that elephant was probably just a loser elephant, that none of the other elephants wanted to hang out with, so she got attached to the dog instead. And the dog, being a dog, was willing to be emotionally attached to anything that showed interest.

  10. Incredible video of an odd animal couple, an elephant and a dog.

  11. about audio!!!!!!!:

only left channel is active. for everyone trying to watch this in libraries, offices etc. with only right headphone in your ear (like me), u will not get any audio.. use the left earphone.

    have a nice day :)

  12. thanks m8

oh shit…. damn it, i’m in my school’s library, trying my toughest not to weep. this is more touching than i thought it’d be. crap. but it makes me wonder what exactly caused bella’s spinal cord injury… i mean she is friends with an elephant o_O

  14. That’s weird that audio doesn’t work for some people as my audio works perfectly.

  15. I’m getting audio, but only through my left speaker. I get audio through both speakers on other videos so I reckon it’s an issue with this one in particular. If you have a connection problem with your speakers you might only be getting audio through the right channel (which wouldn’t let you hear anything in this video) and you might not have noticed it.

  16. I can’t stop crying..haha, what a moving tale

  17. omersengul – Must be your computer,as the audio is fine.

  18. am i the only one who has no audio for this video? everything else works just fine but this clip has no sounds on my computer ??

  19. What a fantastic video.

  20. Thank you so much for a feel excellent tale like this… they are becoming so few and far between… Thanks again :-)

  21. This looks like something from South Park. And elephant and a dog. But the show was entitled “An Elephant Makes Like to a Pig”

  22. thats moving

  23. thats awesome!

  24. Why be proud of something you had no part in? It’s just as stupid as being proud when your favorite hockey team wins or something.

I like how Steve Hartman becomes visibly, audibly “ferklept” when he describes what happened when the dog was injured and the elephant kept vigil. It is excellent to see a newsman being visibly went. And what a moving tale it is! Aw, I like it.
