Re: Every Dog Must Know This: How To Train Your Dog To Stay

“How to teach a bomb proof stay- without using punishment” This video is a response to Zak George’s technique of teaching a stay. I just wanted to show people there IS a way to teach a dog ANYTHING you want to, without any form of intentional punishments, corrections, or intimidation. Zak I LIKE LIKE LIKE your wonderful Frisbee dog videos, your dogs and your training is remarkable, but I’ve got to show that there is another way besides using corrections and punishment. That’s what youtube’s …

I have loads of requests for a link for this, but it’s the same clip, just the sound has been removed, I saw it a year ago, and basically, I took from it that I was to click and treat Splash for staying place as I tempt her to do otherwise, I chuck a dull biscuit, and give her a piece of sausage for not going after it. That type of thing, but I’m affraid I can’t remember it all.

  15. wait what does she say? or is it not that vital???

I was lucky enough to see this before the sound went off, and I send the link to others who can’t wait to have it with sound again, your tips are brilliant, have really helped me and my Splash

  17. when do we can see the video with sound?… :(

  19. Hi I am new you are awesome I want to use your meathods. and you subscribe to my Utube

  20. Hi Emily – your clips are so fantastic, can’t wait to see this one with the sound

  21. will u mary me

  22. how can you get dog to stay? when I throw stuff, he gets off!
does destractions come WAY after he masters the dry staying in silent room?

  23. I’m so jealous. My Aussie-puppy turns 14 weeks today and he can certainly not stay in place! As soon as I go – he moves. =P He’s really hard to keep at a distance at all – he wants to be completely near me all the time. He can do sit, down, stand and place his left paw on a small mousemat (used the beginning of your video on how to teach cross legs ;D) but not on cue and not for a longer time than a few seconds. Not very impressive at all now that I see Splash. ;-/

  24. Sorry! I want to redo the video, so yes… it might be a while.

  25. When are you going to redo this with proper sound? I need to learn. :(
