  1. For me it was because a cat was what the apartment would accept, and I really like animals.
Now, I have my own home, and own four and like all. They are very affectionate and I don’t have to walk them. I also like that I can go away for the weekend leaving enough food and water and they are fine. Dogs don’t do well being left alone.

  2. Well we got offered a cat from our aunt and uncle and he was just the most adorable thing! He’s nice, loveable and affectionate! I like cats and dogs both the same. If you’re looking for a pet that like’s playing with you and is always there right by yourside, get a dog. If you want a pet that can be very affectionate and is nice (most of the time) get a cat.

Really, I had a mouse problem when I chose to get my 1st kitty. She really did the job! Then she got lonely and needed a friend, then this one was a starving stray and needed a home, then this one was just too cute not to take home, then this one……I just like them all! Plus they bathe themselves and don’t need constant attention like a dog does.

  4. 1. Cats mostly take care of themselves. They DO depend on you to feed and clean up poop though.
    2. They don’t go as much as dogs.
    3.They don’t eat as much.
    4.Don’t drink as much.
    5. Dog’s have TOO much energy even if you don’t.
    6. You don’t have to walk cats everyday.
    7. Cat’s don’t slobber on you.
    8. They don’t wander off outside and get lost and never come back like dogs.
    9. They clean themselves. ;]
10.THE SMALLEST THINGS MAKE THEM THE MOST PLEASED CREATURES IN THE WORLD!!! Dogs on the other hand…

Cats just taste better and go well with a nice chardonnay. Dogs just taste a small gamey to me.

Well, we chose to have cats because they are cute of course and they are simpler to handle in a small apartment or house. We wanted a puppy but with work and college, a dog was a lot of work. Cats are independent, use the litter box and clean themselves, rarely do you need to give them a bath. Puppies need constant attention and need to be walked often. We couldn’t be here all the time and would not want to leave the puppy in the cage all day. It just depend on your living situation and preferences, I plot to get a dog later on, I like both cats and dogs.

    1. I have a small apartment so not really huge enough for some dogs and no yard for the dog to play in.
    2. I’m gone all day so no one is tehre to take care of them
    3. they are lower maintenance – stay indoors, not as needy, etc.
    4. they are still lovey and cuddly and like to me near me like dogs do – she even greets me at the door.

  8. just the right size to cuddle.
    antics are entertaining.
    eyes are gorgeous.
    fantastic instincts and affectionate.
use a litter box, that makes it simple.

i like dogs too, but i’ve been around more cats.
had a wonderful german shepherd, very protective.

I just questioned the smartest of my 10 cats this question. She jumped into my lap and rubbed her whiskers across my face and started making pleased feet and purring like a jet engine. Then she looked up at me, and narrowed her gorgeous huge round eyes (one sky blue and the other ctron yellow) and said, “You’ve GOT to be kidding.”

Sorry, she fell quick asleep after that and I couldn’t get her to elaborate on that answer….

“Every life should have 9 cats…” Or so.

  10. Way more reliable and much more quieter and they do not run after things as much as dogs but I am a dog person.

  11. simple, would you want to adopt a fierce and strong boy or simple and cute girl?

I didn’t chose a cat. I was minding my own business when mine chose that she would go in with me. Not complaining though. I have a job which takes me out of the house at different hours of the day and evening and the fantastic thing is is that she looks after herself pretty much. She gets food and drink and a bed from me. Would never have chosen a cat if I had been given the option, but now hooked and wouldn’t be without her.
